When it comes to capturing proposals, my heart skips a beat every time. There’s something truly special about witnessing that moment when two people decide to take the next step in their journey together. One of my favorite photo shoots turned proposals was with Trey and his girlfriend Zoey in the breathtaking Smokey Mountains.
It all started with a phone call from Trey, who was planning a vacation with Zoey and wanted to surprise her with a proposal in the Great Smoky mountains national park. He was unsure about the best location for the big moment, and that’s where I came in. I helped him to find the best spot to propose. After discussing his vision and showing him examples of different locations, we settled on the perfect spot for the golden hour proposal and the best way to propose.
As the day arrived, everything fell into place even better than expected. The sunset painted the sky with hues of pink and orange, providing a picturesque backdrop for the special moment. Golden hour sunset was absolutely breathtaking that evening. Zoey had no idea what was coming and she was wearing a perfect white dress for engagement photos without her knowing that she be engaged on that perfect sunset evening. The look of surprise and joy on her face when Trey got down on one knee was priceless.
I could feel the love and emotion in the air as Zoey said yes, and I knew that I had helped create a truly unforgettable memory for the couple. Seeing the tears of happiness in Zoey’s eyes confirmed that they were truly in love, and I felt honored to have been a part of their special day.
Capturing proposals may be one of the most stressful types of photography for me, as I never want to miss a single moment. But the joy and love that I get to witness and capture in my photographs make it all worth it. Trey and Zoey’s Smokey Mountains proposal will always hold a special place in my heart, reminding me of the magic that can happen when love is in the air.
Every proposal is a unique and beautiful moment, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of capturing these memories that will last a lifetime. Love in the Smoky Mountains is truly a powerful force, and I am humbled to witness and document its beauty through my lens.
