A Beautiful Wedding at Bluff Mountain Inn | Pigeon Forge, TN

Let me tell you about one of the most heartwarming weddings I’ve had the chance to capture—Lesa and Arie’s special day at Bluff Mountain Inn in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

How It All Started

This sweet couple got referred to me by one of my absolute favorite wedding planners in the Smokies—Mary Kate Watt. She messaged me asking if I was available on their wedding date, and luckily, I was!

Shortly after, Lesa reached out and we talked through my wedding packages. She was so kind, easy to talk to, and just the kind of bride I click with right away. Without skipping a beat, she booked one of my packages, and we even set up their engagement session at UT Gardens.

Spring Blooms and Engagement Photos

Time flew by, and before I knew it, we were walking through UT Gardens together, surrounded by all the gorgeous spring flowers. We laughed, talked about their wedding plans, and just had the best time. Lesa and Arie have been together for ten years (yes—TEN!) before deciding to finally tie the knot. I could already feel how special this day was going to be.

Bluff Mountain Inn – A Hidden Gem in the Smokies

Lesa and Arie chose Bluff Mountain Inn as their wedding venue. I was so excited when she told me because one of my very first weddings was there, so I already knew the layout. But when I arrived… wow. It was like stepping into a whole new place!

The venue had just been renovated and looked amazing. It had everything—a cozy bridal suite, a groom’s man cave, a cocktail bar area, and of course, the beautiful white barn for the reception. The best part? You can actually stay there overnight, which is perfect if you want everything in one spot.

A Wedding Day to Remember (Bear Included!)

The day started with detail shots and getting ready moments, and guess what? We had an unexpected guest—a bear! Yep, just casually walking by. We all laughed and took it as a good sign.

Mary Kate was already on-site making sure everything was perfect, and another amazing vendor joined the day—a fantastic bartender who kept everyone refreshed and happy.

A Ceremony Full of Love and Family

The ceremony took place outside, right next to a wooden arch surrounded by trees and fresh air. It was simple, romantic, and full of emotion. What made it even more beautiful? Lesa had her daughter by her side, and Arie stood proudly with his son. It was truly a family moment.

After the ceremony, guests made their way to the cocktail area while I stayed behind with the newlyweds and their families for portraits. Everyone looked so beautiful and joyful—it was one of those moments where everything just felt right.

Reception in the White Barn

The reception took place inside the white barn, with the windows open and the mountain breeze coming through—it felt like something out of a movie. The food and drinks were incredible, thanks to our local vendors. Every detail felt just right.

And let me just say—this reception was a party! The DJ had the dance floor packed all night. Seriously, I’ve seen a lot of receptions, but this one had energy like no other.

One of my favorite moments was watching Arie’s dad, who’s 93 years old, get up and try to dance! He looked amazing and was clearly having the time of his life.

The Grand Sparkler Exit

As the night wound down, guests lined up outside with sparklers in hand. Lesa and Arie walked through a tunnel of light, smiling and laughing before heading off to start their Caribbean honeymoon. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

Final Thoughts

Lesa and Arie’s wedding reminded me why I love doing what I do. From the kindest couple and amazing planner to the stunning venue and unforgettable bear sighting—this wedding had it all. I’m so thankful they chose me to document their day here in the Smoky Mountains.
