Howe Farms Wedding
January 31, 2025
The Dream Starts with a Vision
I don’t even know where to start with this one because Sarah’s vision came in strong from the very first message. She reached out months before her wedding day, and right away I could tell she already wanted me as their Knoxville luxury wedding photographer. At that point, she hadn’t picked the venue yet, and she kept going back and forth about whether it could fit ~200 guests. Then one day, she called me with excitement: “We’re doing a Howe Farms wedding!”
When I heard the news, I almost dropped my phone. I had seen photos of the venue and heard all the buzz. As a Knoxville destination elopement photographer, I had always hoped to shoot there. So when they booked it, I knew we were in for something truly special. From that moment, her dream started moving toward reality.
From Vision to Reality
Sarah arrived with a crystal-clear vision. She knew exactly what she wanted—from florals to décor, down to every last detail. Because she had the perfect team, everything came together effortlessly. Her florist was her husband’s sister, who also happens to be one of Knoxville’s top florists, which made the day even more meaningful.
After months of planning and countless calls, the big day finally arrived. By the time I stepped into Howe Farms, everything felt like it had been lifted straight from her imagination. The space glowed, and every detail reflected her ideas beautifully.

First Look at Howe Farms
Walking into Howe Farms took my breath away. The tables were nearly styled, and the crisp white and soft blue palette looked dreamy. Rustic-elegant candle holders tied everything together. Because the venue has massive windows, natural light poured in and elevated every element, making it perfect for photography.
Meanwhile, the bridesmaids’ pastel dresses—from light blue to soft green—fit seamlessly into the color story. Kylor, her groom, wore a tailored blue suit that matched the palette perfectly. Then, the florals: lush pink roses, hydrangeas, and white calla lilies created an elegant and romantic atmosphere.
A Seamless Wedding Day Flow
Howe Farms made the day effortless. The ceremony, cocktail, and reception areas sit close together, which is ideal for a warm summer wedding. While guests enjoyed the shaded cocktail area surrounded by Italian-style cypress trees, the day moved naturally from getting-ready to celebration. Because Sarah had the right team, she could relax. Her mom helped with shoes, her aunt adjusted the dress, and her planner kept everything on track. This meant Sarah could actually enjoy the day rather than worry about logistics.
A Perfect Tennessee Celebration
From start to finish, the wedding had incredible energy. Although it was a large guest wedding, it still felt intimate and luxurious. For me, as a Knoxville-based destination elopement photographer, days like this remind me why I love what I do. Sarah’s vision came to life, her team made it happen, and the images? I cannot wait to share them.
