Proposal at Foothills parkway
June 15, 2024
Connor’s First Message
I had such a pleasure photographing Connor and McKanzie’s proposal the other day. He messaged me out of the blue and asked if I was available on November 23rd. Right away, he told me that they were traveling to the Smoky Mountains from Florida and that he really wanted to propose in the best way. However, he didn’t know where to start. Luckily, I was free that day, and I couldn’t wait to help him.
Building the Perfect Plan
As soon as we confirmed the date, I emailed him clear instructions. Because of that, we created a solid plan fast. He also mentioned that he didn’t have good luck with other photographers before. So I felt even happier that he chose me and trusted me with their new beginning.

The Setup in the Smokies
On the day of the proposal, I drove to Foothills parkway early. Since we wanted everything to feel natural, I pretended to be an aerial photographer hanging out with my camera. Soon after, Connor and McKanzie arrived. They started taking selfies with a selfie stick, so I stepped in and offered to help. Meanwhile, McKanzie had no idea what was coming.
The Moment She Said Yes
Connor dropped to one knee, and everything unfolded beautifully. She looked shocked at first, but then her smile grew, and tears filled her eyes. And she said yes to five years of love and their next chapter. I felt so happy for them, and I loved capturing every second of that moment.
