Thinking About Proposing in the Smokies or Knoxville?

If you’re dreaming up the perfect proposal but don’t know where to begin, I’ve got you. Since I help plan proposals in the Great Smoky Mountains and Knoxville all the time, I make this entire experience easy, exciting, and unforgettable. Whether you imagine a romantic sunset moment, an adventurous Anakeesta proposal, or a peaceful picnic proposal tucked inside Cades Cove, I’ll guide you through every detail and bring your vision to life.

Anakeesta: A Thrilling Proposal Spot

Anakeesta offers some of the most iconic Smoky Mountain views in Gatlinburg, and many of my couples love proposing here for that reason alone. You can enjoy gorgeous scenery, delicious dining, and thrilling activities like the Zipline or the Treetop Skywalk.

Although Anakeesta looks magical year-round, it also gets extremely crowded during the busy season. Sometimes it even requires standing in line for hours just to enter. Because of that, planning matters. Most of my clients choose Heart Twigloo, the most romantic and exciting spot in the park. Before you go, check their website for entrance fees so you’re fully prepared.

Cades Cove: Romantic and Timeless

If you want a quiet, nature-focused proposal, Cades Cove may be your place. This peaceful valley sits in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains and gives you a sweeping view of mountains, wildlife, waterfalls, and historic buildings.

Since Cades Cove is wildly popular, it often fills up quickly. I always remind couples to plan ahead so they don’t get stuck in traffic. The loop is 11 miles long, which gives us plenty of beautiful spots for photos. Another important note: there is no cell service, so timing matters and preparation helps everything run smoothly. You also need a parking permit, which you can purchase before entering.

My Secret Sunset Spot

If you want something private and incredibly romantic, I have a secret location tucked between North Carolina and the Smoky Mountains. This spot brings the dreamiest views and the most peaceful atmosphere—perfect for an emotional, heartfelt proposal.

A sunset proposal here takes most of the evening, so I always suggest planning dinner before you go. But trust me, this location creates the most magical sunset photos you could ever wish for. Once you tell me your vision, I’ll plan the entire experience and make sure everything feels effortless and unforgettable.
