Spring cabin elopement in Pigeon forge
January 31, 2025
Reese & Dylan’s Spring Smoky Mountain Elopement
As a Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountain elopement photographer, I get to capture so many beautiful love stories. However, Reese and Dylan’s spring elopement quickly became one of my favorites. Their day felt relaxed, joyful, and full of sweet emotional moments.
Planning a Simple & Sweet Elopement
Reese first emailed me in the fall, and instantly, I felt her excitement. She wanted a cozy cabin, close family, and an easy, stress-free morning. Since they had a honeymoon flight the next day, they also needed an early night. Because of that, we chose a bubble exit, and honestly, it turned out magical.
A Mountain Cabin Filled with Excitement
Driving up to their Gatlinburg cabin felt like an adventure because the road twisted high into the mountains. Once I arrived, the views completely blew me away. Inside, the bridesmaids finished their makeup while Reese glowed with excitement. Meanwhile, I went downstairs to meet Dylan, and we immediately clicked. We joked about dating apps, talked about their story, and eased into the day with laughs.

Beautiful Details & Meaningful Touches
While Reese finished getting ready, I photographed her princess-style dress, warm-toned bouquet, rings, and invitations. Her bridesmaids wore rust-orange dresses, and her mom looked stunning in a deep maroon gown. Because of all those warm colors, the whole cabin felt cozy and elegant. Plus, the weather gave us a crisp, cool afternoon—my favorite for photos.
Emotional First Look & Private Vows
Even though wind warnings rolled through the mountains, Reese and Dylan stayed calm and excited. We started with a sweet first look with her dad. After that, the couple shared a first touch instead of a first look. They stood back-to-back, held hands, and read their private vows. Both of them teared up, and the whole moment felt incredibly meaningful.
A Windy Mountain-Top Ceremony
Next, we headed outside for their mountain-top ceremony with close family. The Smokies stretched behind them, and the strong winds actually added extra drama to the photos. After the vows, we captured newlywed portraits in the golden light and took quick family photos before heading back to the cabin.
A Cozy Reception & Magical Bubble Exit
Back inside, Reese and Dylan shared their first dance and sweet family moments. Since they needed to pack for their early flight, they kept the reception short. Still, the bubble exit made everything feel playful and fun. Hundreds of bubbles floated around them as they ran through the pathway together—such a perfect ending.
Why the Smoky Mountains Are Perfect for Your Elopement
If you’re dreaming of a relaxed and romantic elopement, the Smokies truly offer everything. You can choose a high-mountaintop cabin, a quiet overlook, or even a hidden waterfall. Because the area has so many peaceful spots, you always find a location that matches your vision.
As a Smoky Mountain elopement photographer, I help you plan locations, timelines, and meaningful moments. So if you’re thinking about eloping in Gatlinburg or anywhere in the Smokies, I’d love to hear your ideas and create something beautiful together.
