A Dream Wedding at The Nicholas Heir
I had the joy of being a second photographer at Gordon and Sam’s wedding at The Nicholas Heir, a stunning glass venue in Sevierville, Tennessee. Ever since it opened, I’ve wanted to see it in person—and it absolutely lived up to the hype!
First of all, the venue is only ten minutes off the main road. No curvy mountain drives, just a smooth, easy ride. Plus, the sunny day with light clouds made the natural light even more magical for photography.
Why The Nicholas Heir Stands Out
This venue is perfect for couples who love modern elegance and natural light. It’s spacious, offers multiple areas like bridal and groom suites, cocktail spaces, and even a playful after-party spot. Interestingly, the property has two separate venues, so couples can host different weddings with full privacy.
Getting Ready & First Looks
I started the day with Gordon and his groomsmen in the “man cave,” capturing relaxed and fun moments indoors and outside near the glass house. Meanwhile, Sam shared emotional first looks with her dad and bridesmaids before revealing herself to Gordon.
Additionally, she surprised Gordon with two meaningful gifts—one being a framed photo of his late father, a truly touching moment. The second? That one stays a sweet secret between them.

Ceremony & Reception Highlights
The couple’s ceremony took place inside the glass house, with light streaming in beautifully. After their vows, the space transitioned into a romantic reception area. In addition, there’s plenty of room outdoors if couples prefer an open-air celebration.
Cocktail hour was full of laughter and family portraits, followed by bridal portraits at the venue’s hilltop with mountain views. Golden hour added the perfect glow, creating timeless and emotional images.
A Day to Remember
The evening wrapped up with cozy dinners, laughter, and heartwarming moments with friends and family. Overall, Gordon and Sam’s day was elegant, joyful, and full of love.
If you’re planning a wedding at The Nicholas Heir or anywhere in Tennessee, I’d love to help tell your story. Whether it’s a glass venue wedding or mountain-view bridal portraits, I’ll capture every moment so you can relive your day forever.
