A Dreamy Glass Venue Wedding at The Nicholas Heir in Sevierville, TN

by a Knoxville-based destination wedding photographer

January 31, 2025

I had the joy of being a second photographer at Gordon and Sam’s stunning wedding at The Nicholas Heir, a breathtaking glass wedding venue in Sevierville, Tennessee. Ever since this venue opened, I’ve wanted to see it in person—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

The venue is only about 10 minutes off the main road—no curvy mountain drives, just a smooth, easy ride. When I pulled in around 1 p.m., I was completely blown away by how gorgeous everything was. The sunny day with light clouds made it even more perfect for photography.

The Nicholas Heir Wedding Venue in Sevierville

This beautiful glass venue is a dream for couples who love natural light and a modern, elegant style. It’s spacious, filled with gorgeous light, and offers multiple areas like a bridal suite, groom’s suite, cocktail hour space, and even a play area for the after-party. I also learned they have two venues on the property—far enough apart to host separate weddings with full privacy.

Groom Getting Ready Photos at The Nicholas Heir

I started the day with Gordon and his groomsmen, who were getting ready in the “man cave” while enjoying a soccer match on TV. We captured some fun and relaxed getting-ready photos indoors and then stepped outside for portraits near the stunning glass house.

Emotional First Looks Before the Ceremony

Next, I joined my lead photographer in the bridal suite just in time to witness Sam’s emotional first look with her dad—it was so sweet and full of love. She also had a beautiful first look moment with her bridesmaids before seeing Gordon for their own special reveal.

Sam surprised Gordon with two gifts. One was a framed photo of his late father, a deeply touching moment that meant the world to him. The second gift? That one’s staying a sweet secret between the two of them.

Indoor Glass House Wedding Ceremony in Tennessee

The ceremony was held inside the glass house, with beautiful natural light pouring in. After they said their vows, the space was flipped into a romantic reception area. For couples wondering—yes, there’s plenty of space for an outdoor reception too if that’s more your vibe.

The entire day was decorated with soft, elegant florals and had a relaxed, joyful vibe. During cocktail hour, we captured family portraits and then headed to my favorite part of any wedding day—bridal portraits!

Bridal Portraits with Mountain Views in Sevierville

There’s a stunning hilltop spot at the venue with breathtaking mountain views, perfect for capturing timeless bridal portraits. We made the most of the golden hour light and created so many beautiful memories for Gordon and Sam.

The night wrapped up with a cozy dinner, laughter, and sweet moments with friends and family.
