Howe Farms Wedding
January 31, 2025
The Dream Starts with a Vision
I don't even know where to begin with this one! Sarah reached out to me months ago about her wedding day, and from the very first message I knew she already wanted me as their Knoxville luxury wedding photographer. She just hadn't picked the venue yet. She was going back and forth, wondering if the one space would even fit ~200 guests. But then she called and said: "We're doing a Howe Farms wedding!"
And oh my goodness—my jaw dropped. I had seen the photos of the venue, heard the buzz about Howe Farms, and always hoped to shoot there as a destination elopement photographer based in the Knoxville area. So when I heard they booked the venue? I thought: "No way! This is finally happening!"
From Vision to Reality
Sarah came with her vision locked in—she knew exactly what she wanted for the day. From florals to details to décor, she envisioned everything. Lucky for her, she had an amazing planner on her team and a florist who happened to be her husband's sister (and one of the best florists in Knoxville!). How cool is that?!
After countless phone calls and planning sessions, the big day finally arrived.

First Look at Howe Farms Wedding Venue
When I arrived at the venue of this Howe Farms wedding near Knoxville, I walked in and stopped in my tracks—it looked stunning. The tables were nearly decorated, every detail reflecting Sarah's idea, from the crisp white & soft blue palette to rustic-elegant candle holders. The natural light pouring in through the huge windows elevated everything—seriously, that venue is a photo-dream for a Knoxville wedding photographer.
A Color Palette That Pops
And check this out: The bridesmaids rocked pastel dresses—light blue, soft green, and gentle blue-green shades, each with subtle floral designs. They fit right into Sarah's color story and made for gorgeous group shots. On top of that, Kylor, her fiancé, wore a tailored blue suit that perfectly matched the palette. Seeing everyone in harmony like that—fantastic. Then the florals: lush pink roses, hydrangeas in varying tones, and white calla lilies. Everything came together so beautifully in that natural light glow.
Seamless Flow at the Venue
Howe Farms truly delivered on ease and elegance. The ceremony space, cocktail hour area and reception zone were all conveniently close together—perfect for a hot summer day when you don't want guests hiking from one spot to another. The cocktail area wrapped around Italian-style cypress trees, giving off an elevated 'Tuscan escape getaway near Knoxville' vibe. The wedding day moved from getting-ready to reception and everything flowed. I captured Sarah laughing, smiling, soaking up the day—because she had the right team. Her mom helping with her shoes, her aunt assisting with her dress, the planner running the timeline—everyone played their part so she didn't have to worry.
A Perfect Tennessee Celebration
From beginning to end, the wedding was a VIBE. A big-guest wedding with all the charm of a luxury Knoxville destination elopement. As a Knoxville-based destination elopement photographer, days like this — beautiful people, a dream venue like Howe Farms and a bride who enjoys every moment — remind me why I love what I do. Sarah's vision came to life, the team made it happen, and the images? I can't wait to show them.
